Quando si sveglia, due musulmani lo stanno portando via su una specie di amaca appesa ad un pezzo di legno. Debole e spaventato, non può reagire. Proprio sopra la sua testa, mentre il sole albeggia, la Stella del Mattino splende nel cielo del nuovo giorno. La stella a sei punte presenta una croce ed un tridente uniti in uno. Egli comprende il primo segno nell’ululare dei lupi. In quel preciso momento la prima profezia è compiuta. Scoprirà più tardi che i due uomini sono fratelli. Essi hanno deciso di portarlo alla propria dimora avendolo trovato disteso e sanguinante a terra. Nella casa dei musulmani la loro adorabile sorella Laura si prende cura delle ferite del crociato.
