Silver wings (Ali d’argento) è una canzone inedita di Bruce Dickinson inclusa nel The Best uscito il 25 settembre 2001. Silver wings racconta dei bombardamenti alleati sulla Germania. Il Merlin, citato nella prima strofa, era un motore aeronautico Rolls-Royce utilizzato nella seconda guerra mondiale per gli aerei da combattimento.
