Entrando in trance, Nicholas tenta di focalizzare la natura di alcune immagini che, ogni notte, si presentano nei suoi sogni. Egli si ritrova dentro una grande casa, che gli risulta stranamente familiare. Nicholas si avvicina ad uno specchio e vede se stesso riflesso con l’aspetto una giovane donna. Sente che questa donna lo stia contattando per lanciarli una richiesta o di aiuto. Nicholas, una volta risvegliatosi dallo stato ipnotico, tenta di capire chi sia questa donna, quale sia la sua storia e perché abbia scelto proprio lui.
