Little snakes (Piccoli serpenti) è la traccia numero nove del quinto album dei Protest The Hero, Palimpsest, pubblicato il 19 giugno del 2020. La canzone esamina la storia del genocidio americano contro la popolazione nativa americana del paese, in particolare quella delle pianure e delle montagne occidentali. L’elemento centrale della sua metafora è il Monte Rushmore (noto come “I Sei Nonni” rivolto al Lakota Sioux) e quelli i cui volti sono scolpiti in esso. *The only good…: è una parte dell discorso del presidente Theodore Roosevelt, detto nel discorso fatto a New York nel Gennaio del 1886: “Non mi spingo fino a pensare che gli unici indiani buoni siano gli indiani morti, ma credo che nove su dieci lo siano…e non vorrei indagare troppo da vicino sul caso del decimo.”
