he wanted was the time
So I looked at the broken watch,

If there ever was a word
that you heard SO ABSURD
It could take the place of ANYTHING
that you could say

So remember the next time you forget
What you’re sayin’ in the middle of a sentence
Don’t strain your brain to remember
the word instead look ‘em right
in the nose and

Correndo per strada ai 90
con la mia piccola Volkswagen
per fare un serbatoio di benzina, ho sorpassato
Un poliziotto con l’autovelox,
che aspettava un’idiota come me
che guida troppo veloce

Ho visto il rosso e il blu
nello specchietto retrovisore,
così ho tirato il freno
fino al ciglio della strada.
Mi guardava il naso e mi disse:
“Figliolo, ti rendi conto che le tue
gomme sono rotonde?” Ed io risposi: “PLUH!”

Camminando per strada
con le mie scarpe da corsa
alla ricerca di un negozio di scarpe
In modo da poter trovare un posto

Disse qualcosa in Latino
che non potevo capire
E pensavo il peggio
finché fissò il mio polso

Poi ho visto che quello

Allora guardo il suo orologio rotto,
e dissi:–“pluh” [sottofondo]
“Non capisco” [borbottò]
