Race to the sea – Sabaton

Race to the sea (Corsa al mare) è la traccia che apre il decimo album dei Sabaton, The War To End All Wars, pubblicato il 4 marzo del 2022. Il brano fa riferimento al Re del Belgio Alberto I che combattè con lìesercito belga nella battaglia dell’Yser e nel 1914 alla corsa al mare. Col nome di corsa al mare si indica un periodo della Prima guerra mondiale in cui i due schieramenti, impegnati nei primordi della guerra di trincea tentarono ripetutamente di aggirarsi a vicenda sul fianco nord, dando luogo ad un prolungarsi della linea del fronte sino al mar del Nord.
