Once bitten, twice shy – Great White

Once bitten, twice shy (Una volta scottato, la seconda si va piano) è la nona e ultima traccia del quarto album dei Great White, …Twice Shy, pubblicato nell’aprile del 1989. È una cover del brano di Ian Hunter (ex Mott the Hoople) pubblicato nel 1975. Once bitten, twice shy significa che quando qualcosa o qualcuno ti ha fatto male una volta, si tende a evitare quella cosa o persona (viene usato specie quando si parla di amore). In italiano un proverbio analogo è chi si scotta con la minestra bollente soffia anche su quella fredda.
