Hopkins (the witchfinder general) (Hopkins il generale inquisitore) è la traccia numero due del terzo album dei Cathedral, The Carnival Bizarre, pubblicato il 29 settembre del 1995. Il brano è ispirato a Matthew Hopkins, inquisitore attivo in Inghilterra nel ‘600 durante la Guerra Civile inglese. Nel brano, sono udibili delle frasi estratte dal film “Il generale inquisitore” (1968), diretto da Michael Reeves e interpretato da Vincent Price nel ruolo di Hopkins.
