Battalions of fear (Battaglioni di paura) è la traccia numero sette e quella che dà il nome al primo album dei Blind Guardian, pubblicato il 18 maggio del 1988. Il testo fa riferimento al programma dello scudo spaziale portato avanti dal presidente americano Ronald Reagan nel 1983.
